The date for the Sony CES 2016 Press Conference has been revealed.
Next week the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) gets underway (January 4th) and the Sony CES 2016 Press Conference date has been set. Manufacturers, developers, journalists and consumers from around the world will be descending on Las Vegas and unlike most trips to Vegas, what happens in Vegas most certainly does not stay in Vegas with the latest information being reported worldwide. Sony, manufacturers of the Playstation devices we all love (unless you’re a fanboy of another platform – we don’t discriminate, we go where the games are……), have announced that the Sony CES 2016 Press Conference will be taking place on January 5th at 5pm PST.
If you want to watch the Sony CES 2016 press conference live then all you have to do is head over to the Sony blog where it will be streaming live on Tuesday. You can join in the with the twittersphere using the hashtag #SonyCES. The thing we are most interested here is the Playstation Virtual Reality headset that should be discussed in and amongst all their other goodies. How will it stack up against the Oculus Rift, which is already scheduled for Q1 this year – although we are a skeptical bunch so we think there may be delays. Will the Samsung Gear VR headset be any good, will it look to compete on the same levels? It is an almost certainty that the Playsation VR headset will get some air time and most likely quite a bit of it. The announcements page of the Sony Blog shows the Playstation VR headset on the left hand side, see image below:
