If, like me, you’re a PC gamer that was saddened by the fact that all your PS owning buddies could play Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic hit, “The Last of Us”, then you’re about to get some news that may console you.
While Ubisoft’s up-coming game, “The Division” does not have you taking on a world turned zombie(ish) it does have you roaming a wiped out world trying to save what is left of humanity in an epic mix of Action RPG and Hardcore DayZ-esque survival in a free-roaming sandbox – and it has been announced that it will be coming to PC!
The revelation comes as a result of the passionate PC community asking nicely in the comments box Ubiblog website when Ubisoft first announced the game would be released for PS4 and XBox One.
“I can’t stress enough how important it has been for us to feel your support, interest and commitment to the game. Your opinions matter to us. The positive energy you bring back to the team will help us create the best game possible. One of the most frequently discussed topics has been that of releasing The Division on PC. With that in mind, I’m very pleased to announce that the game will be available on PC. Massive Entertainment has its roots in PC development with titles like Ground Control and World in Conflict. You can be certain that we will provide you with a first-rate PC experience.” said Fredrik Rundqvist, the Executive Producer on the game.
Score 1 for Ubisoft and Massive Entertainment!
Personally, I’ll be following the development of this game with great interest, but just in case you haven’t seen/heard much about the game, here’s the E3 Demo to wet your whistle. Let us know what you think and how you feel about this announcement in the comments below.
