Earlier this week, Infinity Ward’s Executive Producer Mark Rubin, released a fittingly grainy video showing off a new feature that is presumably linked to Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer mode. Just like any good ghost video, if you blink you will miss the footage of a new unexplained menu titled ‘Squads’.
That was unfortunately all that was revealed and there is still no word on what Squads actually are. The Call of Duty Wiki lists it as a new multiplayer game type, but nothing has yet to be confirmed. It could also potentially be related to or an expansion of the squads feature found in Call of Duty: World at War, which allowed players to better organize themselves using the party feature.
Luckily it won’t be too long before we get something a little more substantive than a 8 second twitter video, when Infinity Ward formally reveals COD: Ghosts’ multiplayer mode on August 14th.
