UK video game retailer, GAME, has been granted an exclusive Battlefield 4 Deluxe Edition, which will include the China Rising expansion pack, a collectible SteelBook cover, and 3 gold battlepacks, all for the tidy price of £64.99 on the XBox 360 and PS3, or £54.99 on the PC.
So what do these extras get you for your hard earned money? Well they get you a nice shiny case to put your game DVD in when you’re not using it; 4 “massive maps” for you to play on, “using all-new vehicles and high-tech military equipment”, in the expansion pack; and a head start on the battlepacks which will be available during your multiplayer career, which GAME has said, will “contain a combination of new weapon accessories, dog tags, knives, XP boosts and character customisation items”.
Now given the fact that I am a UK gamer who not only enjoys getting his virtual war on, but enjoys leaving the house to actually browse game shops, I’d have to say it all sounds good. I do, however, confess a personal curiosity as to the amount of content each pack contains – after all, I want to look good on launch day when I’m blowing up buildings and saving Shanghai – but is it worth the extra £££’s? Drop a comment, and let us know what you think!
The GAME exclusive Battlefield 4 Deluxe Edition is due to be released 01 Nov, 2013 and can be pre-purchased here.
