Since the initial reveal of Sony’s PS4, it has only been confirmed that the system will launch with a single SKU, without providing consumers with variations between system models. But, according to a report that was published by VideoGamer earlier today, this detail may change as the release date for the system approaches.
Speaking with SCEE CEO Jim Ryan, it has been confirmed that Sony is actually looking into the prospect of providing additional bundled software, or a bundle that provides the new PlayStation Camera, along with the PS4.
“That is something we are looking at. In Europe we have had success with offering premium propositions that offer great value. We honestly have not made any decisions about what we are doing at launch. But it is something we are looking at.”
At the moment, there has not been any further information given on this matter, or if Sony is even looking to implement this type of offering for North America.
