Metal Gear Solid 5 Real-Time Weather and Day-Night Cycles Detailed
During this past E3 event, a lengthy video was shown that showcases many of the new features that will be involved with the upcoming Metal Gear Solid 5. Within those features was the implementation of a real-time weather system, along with realistic day and night cycles.
Speaking on these new features for Metal Gear Solid 5, Kojima Productions’ Sean Eyestone recently provided the following details for the system within the game.
“There will be dynamic weather conditions within the game, that will change within the context of the game’s passage of time. As far as the passage of time within the game itself, it will be very realistic and believable, but it won’t necessarily be real time per se. It’s not going to match the real world exactly. Right now we’re still tweaking things, but roughly you could say that about six hours of game time equals 24 hours in the real world.” As the game is still into development, this may still change, but the takeaway from this news is that the game will have an accelerated passage of time.”
As displayed within the trailer showcased at E3, these dynamic changes will bring forward many variations within the gameplay aspects of Metal Gear Solid 5.
How do you see these dynamics changing your playstyle in Metal Gear Solid 5?
