News of the release date coincide with the release of a next generation console systems for both Xbox and Playstation, set to hit stores this fall. While Rockstar states there is no correlation to the dates, many are left wondering if the delay was a strategic business move.
In the statement, the company addresses all references to the rumors. “To those of you saying or seeing various conspiracy theories about there being some other ulterior motive for this delay, rest assured that they’re all nonsense – literally the only reason we’ve delayed the release is because we want the game to be as good as it needs to be.”
The Grand Theft Auto series is known for its open-world, free roam features. The fifth installment to the series will offer fresh characteristics , unknown to any other game of its kind. The game will have three main characters that players can switch throughout the game.
